We operate from Governors Bay, Lyttelton. You will find that most of our scheduled courses are delivered close to Christchurch. However, We are happy to send instructors to almost any location in New Zealand.

Online Weather Course – June 3rd

Learn to read the skies and plan your adventures with confidence. OENZ’s Online Weather Course gives you practical, easy-to-understand tools to interpret forecasts, recognize weather patterns, and make informed decisions in the outdoors. Designed for trampers, hunters, and outdoor enthusiasts of all levels. Learn online from anywhere!

Family-friendly training courses

Due to popular demand, we now offer a range of family-friendly training courses. These courses are open to everyone, even adults travelling alone.

On family-friendly courses, youths over 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Our standard training courses have an age minimum limit of 18 or 16 accompanied by a parent or guardian. Have a look at the course calendar for family-friendly course dates.

Transport to and from courses

We offer a free pick-up and drop-off service for most of our training courses. This service has become very popular for people flying into Christchurch. We’ll pick you up from a range of selected central city hotels! Check out our FAQ page for more info.
