Here at OENZ, we offer a range of sea kayak courses, from complete beginner to advanced multi-day expedition skills. We supply all the gear and equipment needed, including boats, so you can have a go before investing in your own kit.

 

2-DAY SEA KAYAKING COURSE

Sea kayaking courses in New Zealand
2-day beginner course

A  2-day introductory course that covers paddling, self-rescue & safety equipment. A must-do course for anyone interested in buying a boat. Prior experience is not required to attend this course.

4-Day Sea Kayak Course

Learning to sea kayak with OENZ- Outdoor Education New Zealand
4-day beginner to intermediate course

A 4-day course for beginner paddlers and people with some experience. This course covers paddle strokes, surf landings and rescues. Prior experience is not required to attend this course.

An intermediate to advanced expedition kayaking course. This course includes planning for extended trips and advanced paddling techniques. Direct entry into this course requires prerequisite skills and experience.
